Wild Rose, Rosa woodsii

Rose, Rosa woodsii. πŸƒπŸŒΈπŸƒ This beautiful gem of a flower can be found in the wild in subalpine and montane forests of the Rocky Mountains. Last year we planted one of these in our garden and I’m so grateful for its beauty and lasting blooms. They are a wonderful addition to Colorado gardens because they are a native species and require much less water than other types of roses. With proper pruning and deadheading, they will bloom for much of the summer and into early fall.
